Patient Registration

Description

We are looking for a welcoming and detail-oriented Patient Registration team member to support the Registration Desk in a busy healtcare facility! This Long-term Contract position focuses on creating a positive first impression for patients while ensuring accurate intake and insurance documentation. The ideal candidate is comfortable interacting with patients in a fast-paced healthcare setting and can manage registration tasks with accuracy and care.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients and visitors at the Registration Desk, providing courteous and attentive assistance upon arrival.

• Complete patient intake by gathering required demographic and visit-related information accurately and efficiently.

• Obtain, review, and record insurance details to support timely verification and billing processes.

• Enter registration and coverage information into the appropriate systems with a high level of accuracy.

• Guide patients through registration procedures and answer routine questions regarding the intake process.

• Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to help maintain smooth patient flow and timely service.

• Support appointment and patient scheduling needs when required, following departmental procedures.

Requirements • Previous experience in patient registration, patient access, or a similar front-end healthcare role.

• Ability to interact compassionately and professionally with patients in emergency or maternity care settings.

• Working knowledge of medical insurance collection and verification practices.

• Strong data entry skills with close attention to accuracy and completeness.

• Experience assisting patients with registration, scheduling, and general intake questions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a fast-paced environment.
