Description
The Vice President, Finance & Administration will provide leadership across finance, accounting, risk management, labor administration, and corporate operations. This hands-on executive will oversee the company's financial health, insurance programs, union workforce administration, compliance initiatives, and key administrative functions.
Finance & Accounting
Lead all financial operations, including project accounting, cash flow, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and banking relationships.
Develop and manage annual operating budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
Oversee ERP system administration and optimization.
Manage corporate credit card programs and multi-state sales and use tax compliance.
Coordinate income and sales tax filings with external advisors.
Insurance & Risk Management
Manage all corporate insurance programs, including general liability, workers' compensation, US Longshore & Harbor Workers' Compensation, employee benefits, auto, property, cargo, and surety bonding.
Oversee broker relationships, policy renewals, claims management, and certificate of insurance compliance.
Ensure customer, subcontractor, and vendor insurance requirements are met.
Labor & Union Administration
Administer union agreements and related workforce programs.
Oversee wage rates, fringe benefit contributions, payroll deductions, labor burden calculations, and billing rates.
Manage union reporting, contribution payments, audits, and USL& H claim administration.
Operations & Compliance
Partner with project management and legal counsel on contract review and risk mitigation.
Oversee fleet management, OSHA reporting, and corporate compliance requirements.
Manage key third-party partners, including IT, ERP, tax, and consulting vendors.
Develop, implement, and enforce company policies and operational procedures.
Salary & Compensation
Salary range - $150,000-190,000
Medical - 100% covered for employee

Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; CPA preferred.
Progressive leadership experience in project-based industries such as construction, engineering, maritime, logistics, or industrial services.
Strong expertise in project accounting, cash management, risk management, insurance, and labor administration.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional operations in a hands-on, entrepreneurial environment.
