Full job description

Product Marketing Manager Location: Hybrid in New York City (3 day in-office requirement) OR Remote; Eastern Time hours mandatory (required to live in one of the following states: AZ, CO, FL, GA, IL, MI, MN, NC, TX, UT, VT) Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in product marketing, channel marketing, or partner marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS, fintech, or accounting/finance software.

  • A track record of owning positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans end to end, from launch strategy through sales enablement.

  • Strong storytelling and writing skills — you can turn a product capability into a clear, differentiated narrative for both accountants and the internal teams selling to them.

  • Comfort partnering across Product, Sales, Growth, Partner Marketing and Brand in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, and influencing without direct authority.

  • A self-starter who takes full ownership of a product area, from customer insight to shipped campaign to measured outcome.

Bonus points:

  • Direct experience with the accountant, bookkeeper, or accounting-firm audience — you understand how firms operate, how they evaluate and adopt new tools, and what makes them recommend a product to clients.

A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:

  • Own positioning and messaging for the accountant product suite and for Melio's value proposition to the accountant channel, keeping both sharp as the products and competitive landscape evolve.

  • Lead go-to-market strategy and execution for accountant launches and releases, and scale marketing effort accordingly — from launch narrative through post-launch adoption tracking.

  • Own the voice of the customer for accountants - build a continuous feedback loop with accounting firms and bookkeepers through research, win/loss analysis, sales calls, and support/success insights, and channel it into product and GTM decisions.

  • Define and evolve the accountant channel GTM strategy: how we acquire, activate, and grow accounting firms as partners and advocates — partnering with Sales, Partner Marketing, and Growth on the channel motion.

  • Build sales and partner enablement — battlecards, demo narratives, FAQs, and training content — that helps Sales and Partner teams sell and support the accountant product suite.

  • Represent the accountant product area in quarterly planning: submit briefs, tier upcoming releases, and align with Marketing leadership and channel owners on the calendar.

  • Represent Melio at accountant and bookkeeping industry events and conferences to build presence and credibility with the accountant community

About the team You'll join Melio's Product Marketing team, where each PMM owns a product area end to end — from customer and competitive insight, through positioning and messaging, to go-to-market execution and post-launch results. The PMM team is part of Melio's strategy team and therefore also carries a strategic mandate: PMMs bring market and competitive analysis, business cases, and recommendations that help shape Melio's roadmap and investment decisions. Based in New York, Denver, and Tel Aviv, the team sits at the intersection of Product and GTM, partnering closely with Product, Growth, Sales, and general marketing to bring the market into product decisions and take what we build to market.

About the role Accountants and bookkeepers are one of Melio's highest-leverage audiences — they influence which financial tools their small business clients adopt, and Melio is investing directly in serving them through a growing suite of dedicated products. We're hiring a Product Marketing Manager to own this space end to end, spanning both the accountant channel and Melio's accountant-facing product line: Accountant Dashboard, partner-branded AP, AR, and expense management experiences and our agentic AI capabilities that automate client chasing, follow-ups, and approvals so firms spend less time on admin. This is a rare opportunity to build go-to-market for an entire audience and product line from the ground up, including helping shape how we take a brand-new agentic product to market. You'll work closely with Xero's Product Marketing team, who own the accountant persona and channel on the Xero side, to align on a consistent strategy and voice as Melio and Xero come together for accountants and their small business clients in the US. • 401K matching: Feel the investment of working at a high-growth company.

Melio recently joined forces with Xero, putting us at the center of one of the most ambitious plays in US fintech — bringing B2B payments, expense management, and financial workflows to millions of small businesses and the accountants and bookkeepers who advise them.
