Additional responsibilities will include:

Select Medical is seeking an Epic BusinessSpecialistto join our team. The BusinessSpecialistwill work hand in hand with application coordinators and act as the primary support contact for Epic software. Epic is one of the largest providers of health information technology used to access, organize,store,and share patient medical records. The BusinessSpecialistwillbe responsible forin-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, reportdetails,and other technical issues associated with Epic software. In addition, they willbe responsible forcoordinating all issues that arise with Epic, analyzing businessoperations,and implementing requested changes to the system.

Business Specialist s gain in-depth knowledge of Epic software by attending training at Epic's headquarters in Wisconsin and completing certification projects and tests.

Responsibilities

• Acting as an escalation point for support of the application

• Triage and prioritize support issues that arise in their application area.

• Understanding the choices involved in application configuration.

• Performing in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with Epic software.

• Investigate end users'preferenceswhile making build decisions.

• Analyzing business operations as they relate tobuilddecisions.

• Prioritizing and implementing requested changes to the system.

• Analyzing new functionality in releases todeterminehow it should be used.

• Populating databases during theinitialsystem build withassistancefrom Epic.

• Coordinating software updates and changes.

• Reviewing and testing each new release.

• Collecting informationregardingpotential system enhancement needs.

• Preparing details of specifications as needed.

• Analyzing data conversion needs.

• Ensuring that data coming across an interface into an Epic application meets the businessneed.

• Serving as a liaison between end users, third parties, and Epic implementation staff.

• Troubleshooting problems and questions from end users.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• BS or BA in information systems, business administration, health care, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience

• 1+ years of experience in Business Analysis and customer service skills

• Analytical thinking

• Proven ability to learn custom applications

• Candidate must pass Sphinx EPIC* (Select will administer)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Able to independently manage and prioritize workload and expectations

• Ability to collaborate with the team and business operators

• Ability to overcome initial barriers

• Ability to effectively multi-task and adapt to changing business priorities

• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate changes made to EPIC

• Superior teamwork, timemanagement,and organizational skills
