Position Overview:
Assists in preparing for and during surgery by performing routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of the department and hospital to assure quality patient care.
Job Description :
EDUCATION
-
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
-
HS Diploma: High School or General Education (GED) or equivalent education/experience.

Completion of a formal accredited Operating Room Technician program.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
-
BLS - Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.
-
Surgical Technician Certification (TS-C, CST, or NRST) is required to be eligible for incentive, if allowed per the Collective Bargaining Agreement for union-represented employees.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN
- Two (2) years scrubbing experience at CPMC required.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Basic knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and supplies.

Requires communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Pay Range is $56.50 to $67.51 / hour
The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled.
