Job Summary

Drive Excellence. Elevate Our Supply Chain. Protect Critical Operations.

Join Centrus ACO‑OR as a Supplier Quality Manager and play a mission‑critical role in ensuring the integrity, reliability, and performance of every component that powers our centrifuge manufacturing operations. In this high‑impact leadership position, you’ll shape the quality and capability of our supplier base, safeguard technical and regulatory compliance, and champion the independent verification processes that keep our operations running at world‑class standards.

You will lead teams across supplier quality assurance, supplier quality control, and receipt inspection—empowering them to make confident, independent decisions that directly influence product conformance, supply chain continuity, and regulatory success. If you thrive in a fast‑paced, highly technical environment where precision matters and your judgment carries real operational weight, this role is for you.

What You Will Do

  • Lead dynamic teams responsible for supplier quality assurance, quality control, and quality receipt inspection—ensuring independence, strong qualifications, and consistent execution.

  • Own the Approved Suppliers List and guide supplier lifecycle decisions, including evaluation, approval, restriction, and disqualification.

  • Develop and execute strategic supplier surveillance plans with hold, witness, and review points that ensure quality acceptance at every stage.

  • Conduct and coordinate audits, surveys, and performance assessments using a risk‑based, graded oversight approach.

  • Oversee source verification and source release activities—confirming critical items before they leave supplier facilities.

  • Review certifications, inspection records, and technical submittals for accuracy, completeness, and traceability.

  • Lead supplier corrective actions, preventive activities, and root‑cause investigations that drive performance improvement.

  • Champion suspect/counterfeit item prevention and detection within all purchased materials and equipment.

  • Partner with Procurement to ensure purchase orders clearly communicate quality, documentation, acceptance criteria, and process requirements.

  • Oversee receipt inspection workflows to ensure all items are properly verified, documented, and assigned quality status.

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing Operations, and Quality teams on technical issues, risk management, audits, and nonconformance resolution.

  • Maintain independence, uphold traceability, and ensure robust control of nonconforming materials.

We’d Love to Hear from Candidates With

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physical sciences, or related technical field—or equivalent technical experience.

  • 5+ years of quality‑related experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.

  • Strong ability to interpret drawings, specifications, GD&T, and supplier documentation.

  • Hands‑on knowledge of inspection methods and verification tools.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE/NRC Q‑level security clearance.

A Successful Candidate Also Brings

  • Experience with ASME NQA‑1, ISO 9001, AS9100, or other regulated quality programs.

  • Background in supplier auditing, capability assessments, and corrective action management.

  • Familiarity with APQP, PFMEA, PPAP/FAI, or process capability analysis.

  • Professional certifications such as ASQ CQE/CQT/CQA, NQA‑1 Lead Auditor, or relevant NDT credentials.
