Full job description

Chronic disease isn't managed in a clinic. It is managed at home, in relationships, in the everyday. What's on the dinner table, what gets said, and who notices when someone's struggling. For the 130 million Americans managing a chronic condition, the healthcare system has offered the same answer for decades: a 15-minute doctor's visit, a pamphlet, and a portal login they'll never use. At Nuna, we are building an AI health coach that shows up like a person who actually has time: available at 3am, infinitely patient, and never behind a waiting room. We use motivational interviewing to help patients and their families see themselves clearly, design experiments that fit their real lives, and navigate a system that has not historically been on their side. We are building from the ground up around a simple belief: patients don't want to be healthy; they want their lives back. We're not competing with other health apps. We're competing with the moment a person gives up on getting better. If that's a problem you want to work on, we'd like to talk. Nuna was recently selected to join the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Health Tech Ecosystem, a landmark public-private initiative designed to transform healthcare for Americans.

Your team Nuna’s Customer Success team owns the customer journey post-sale — leading implementation, account management, support, retention, renewal, and expansion. We’re healthcare experts who configure and optimize Nuna’s patient engagement solutions to drive adoption, measurable outcomes, and lasting value. By building trusted partnerships and delivering exceptional service, we help our customers succeed and engage patients at scale.

The role As our EHR Integration Lead, you will lead end-to-end technical integrations connecting our SaaS platform with major health systems. You'll translate clinical operational needs into clear technical requirements, guide cross-functional teams, and build repeatable deployment playbooks so we can reach more patients effectively.

What you’ll do Lead enterprise EHR integrations

  • Own integrations between our SaaS platform and healthcare partners’ EHR systems, from discovery and scoping through launch and optimization.

  • Partner with Sales and Growth to scope integrations for prospective customers, shape the technical approach, and produce clear, client-ready solution materials (architecture, integration options, and requirements) that build confidence and help move deals forward.

Define integration requirements and approach

  • Partner with health system stakeholders to translate clinical workflows, technical requirements, and business goals into actionable integration plans. This includes authoring detailed integration specifications, data mappings, and decision logs.

Drive cross-functional execution

  • Align internal Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams with partner IT and clinical teams to manage dependencies, resolve obstacles, and deliver successful launches. You will also facilitate technical working sessions with interface engineers, EHR and FHIR analysts, and middleware partners to drive decisions and action items.

Serve as a trusted integration expert

  • Guide enterprise partners through integration decisions, clearly communicate tradeoffs, and establish shared expectations for scope, timelines, and outcomes.

Build scalable integration practices

  • Develop repeatable playbooks, documentation, and processes that improve delivery consistency and reduce the time and effort required to onboard new partners. This collateral includes prospect-facing integration guides used in the sales process.

Ensure integrations deliver lasting value

  • Establish success measures, coordinate validation and launch readiness, and drive improvements that support reliable data exchange and effective clinical workflows.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven track record leading enterprise EHR integrations, specifically delivering end-to-end Epic implementations.

  • 3–5 years of experience deploying SaaS solutions for external clients, with a focus on Epic health systems.

  • Strong technical fluency in bidirectional integrations, HL7 v2 (ORM/ORU), and FHIR (R4 / SMART on FHIR) across orders, write-backs, remote monitoring data, and reads.

  • Ability to translate clinical workflows and business requirements into clear technical specs, data mappings, and acceptance criteria.

  • Experience coordinating cross-functional partner IT, vendor, and internal engineering teams through working sessions, testing, launch, and secure PHI management.

  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple integrations simultaneously, mitigate risks, and resolve technical obstacles.

  • Excellent communication skills to articulate technical tradeoffs and build consensus across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to lead by influence as a senior individual contributor with high ownership and attention to detail.

Bonus Points

  • Experience delivering integrations with additional EHR platforms.

  • Ability to configure interfaces, build APIs, or troubleshoot data flows to resolve issues independently.

  • Epic certifications or healthcare system IT/clinical informatics experience.

  • Experience in healthcare SaaS or fast-paced startup environments.

  • Technical pre-sales or integration solutioning experience.

  • Familiarity with integration tooling and security (Redox, VPN, SFTP, SSO/SAML, OAuth 2.0).

  • Knowledge of clinical coding (LOINC, ICD-10), data mappings, acceptance criteria, and decision logs.

  • Background in RPM, chronic disease management, value-based care, quality reporting, and CMS models.

  • Track record of building reusable integration playbooks, documentation, and scalable processes.
