About AngelList

Private markets are the new public markets. The most important companies of this era are private, and almost no one can own them. What's missing is the financial system public markets spent a century building: exchanges, custodians, brokers, and ways for ordinary people to buy in. Private markets, now $28T, never had the equivalent. AngelList is building it.

The last decade of structural innovation in venture happened here: syndicates, SPVs at scale, Rolling Funds, scout programs. Today we have $200B+ in assets and 30,000+ startups funded on our platform. The rest of private markets is next. Funds is the software and services behind private funds, Nova is the banking network, Meridian is the wealth platform for accredited investors, and USVC is the brand behind a registered fund that lets anyone invest in venture.

Working here means an unusual amount of agency on a problem that matters. Titles are closer to suggestions, and there are about 200 of us building what private markets never had. Come build it with us.

About the role

We are building the agentic extension of every team in institutional venture.

  • A huge market, still manual. Venture capital is a $3.5 trillion asset class, and capital is concentrating in established firms managing $50M to more than $1B. Their back offices still depend on outside administrators and manual work: AngelList automates it.

  • A fund administrator run by agents. Agents handle accounting, reconciliation, capital calls, and investor requests, people step in only on genuine exceptions. You are directly responsible for making that a reality.

  • The default on Institutional Venture. Institutional is one of our fastest-growing products and wins most of the deals it competes for. Your job is to make it the obvious choice for established firms.

You will:

  • Own the roadmap for our Institutional product. Decide which fund operations workflows to automate next, from bank reconciliation to journal entries to LP requests, and shape how CFOs and finance teams work alongside agents.

  • Talk to customers constantly. From managing partners to fund CFOs and controllers, turn what you hear into a sharp product point of view, and be in the room when a deal is being won or a relationship needs repair.

  • Grow revenue, assets under administration, and retention by building a product that is accurate, responsive, and efficient enough that customers recommend us to their peers.

  • Make switching to AngelList easy by turning migrations from incumbent administrators into a fast, predictable experience.

  • Write product requirements that turn complex accounting, tax, and operational realities into work engineering and design can ship.

  • Partner with sales, fund accounting, and operations to win new firms and keep existing ones successful.

In this role, success is measured by Institutional revenue and AUA growth, retention, and customer satisfaction.

You may be a good fit if you:

  • Have built something from early to scale. You have taken a B2B product from a handful of customers to more than a hundred, as a founder or an early product leader, and you have owned the revenue that came with it.

  • Have a point of view on where venture is going. You follow private markets closely and have opinions about how funds will be run five years from now. Fluency in fund operations (capital calls, capital accounts, NAV, K-1s, audits) is a plus. If you are not there yet, you have learned a domain this complex quickly before.

  • Build with AI every day. You use AI tools to prototype, analyze, and ship. You know where they still fall short when every number has to be right.

  • Design for trust. Finance teams adopt automation only when they can check it. You care about accuracy, auditability, and knowing exactly when a person needs to step in.

  • Are at-home with demanding customers. You can earn the confidence of managing partners and CFOs, present the product in a sales meeting, and turn an escalation into a better roadmap.

  • Own outcomes, not just roadmaps. You do whatever the product and the customer need to win, working closely with engineering, sales, and operations.

Experience: 8+ years overall, including 4+ in product management or as a founder, ideally in fintech, accounting or finance software, data or platform products, or another operationally complex B2B domain. Based in San Francisco or New York.

Working Here

If you don't meet every requirement above, we still encourage you to apply. We value complementary strengths and operators who learn by doing.
