Contract Director Rx - Pipeline Growth and Strategy

Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

The Contract Director Rx manages pharmaceutical contracts and supports pharma activity across the Paragon and BioPlus pharmacy segments, including relationship building, new product launches, contracting, and strategic pipeline initiatives focused on identifying, cultivating, and advancing pharmaceutical manufacturer opportunities to drive business growth and client value.

How you will make an impact:

  • Manages and enhances profitable business relationships with the pharmaceutical industry on behalf of the company and Pharmacy Management external clients, including supporting pharmaceutical partnership and growth opportunities.

  • Develops and enhances positive business relationships with the pharmaceutical industry while helping identify and evaluate emerging pharmaceutical manufacturer opportunities and market trends.

  • Develops and implements strategies to win new business and retain current clients by increasing rebates, supporting the sales process, advancing strategic pipeline opportunities, and contributing to long-term growth initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and minimum of 8 years contract negotiation and sales experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Licensed Pharmacist (RPh) with specialty pharmacy, specialty home infusion, pharmaceutical trade, manufacturer, or group purchasing organization experience, highly preferred.

  • Experience developing and executing enterprise growth strategies, identifying market trends, emerging therapeutic categories, and competitive opportunities to drive pharmaceutical partnerships, business development, and sustainable revenue growth, preferred.

  • Experience building, managing, and advancing pharmaceutical manufacturer opportunity pipelines, including evaluating market intelligence, pipeline performance, and growth opportunities to support strategic planning and executive decision-making, preferred.

  • Experience managing Biosimilar and Generic market dynamics within specialty pharmacy and infusion, leading RFI/RFP processes, manufacturer engagement activities, and strategic contracting initiatives to secure new market opportunities, preferred.

  • Demonstrated success partnering across Sales, Program Management, Clinical, Trade Relations, Operations, Product, payer, and financial teams to evaluate opportunities, develop growth initiatives, and bring new pharmaceutical products and services to market, preferred.

  • Proven ability to build executive-level manufacturer relationships, influence stakeholders, develop compelling value propositions, and serve as a trusted advisor on pharmaceutical market dynamics, partnership development, and commercial growth strategy, preferred.
