Full job description

Job Description

Insight Global Consulting is partnering with a large local utility to support their Electric Asset Data Mgmt & Analytics team and the development and productionization of Generative AI solutions within a complex enterprise technology environment. This is a highly hands-on role for an experienced GenAI Developer who has already built and deployed GenAI solutions in production and can operate independently from day one. The team has strong developers and GenAI-focused Product Managers who can prototype and test concepts, but needs dedicated development expertise to turn those concepts into scalable, production-ready solutions. The environment spans Palantir Foundry/AIP, Snowflake, AWS, ArcGIS Online (AGOL), React, and large language models (LLMs). A major focus will be building agentic workflows and AI-enabled applications that can securely leverage enterprise data across these platforms. This person will also support broader development and data science needs as priorities shift, so flexibility, technical curiosity, and a team-first mindset are important. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and productionize Generative AI applications and agentic workflows.
  • Develop AI agents and workflows that leverage LLMs and enterprise data across Palantir Foundry, Snowflake, AWS, and other systems.
  • Build solutions within Palantir Foundry/AIP, including navigating enterprise governance, access, and production requirements.
  • Turn GenAI prototypes and concepts into secure, reliable, production-level applications.
  • Develop and enhance React-based dashboards and user interfaces to support AI and data-driven use cases.
  • Integrate data residing across Snowflake, Foundry, AWS, and other enterprise platforms into GenAI solutions.
  • Partner with GenAI Product Managers, developers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to identify and execute high-value use cases.
  • Contribute to broader software development, data science, and technical initiatives when GenAI development is not the immediate priority.
  • Proactively identify areas where additional development support is needed rather than waiting for work to be assigned.
  • Bring forward new ideas, challenge assumptions constructively, and help the team determine where GenAI can meaningfully improve workflows and outcomes.
  • Work independently in a highly regulated enterprise environment where GenAI solutions require significant review and scrutiny before moving into production.

Skills and Requirements

  • Senior-level hands-on experience developing and deploying Generative AI solutions in production environments.

  • Demonstrated experience building AI agents, agentic workflows, and LLM-powered applications.

  • , ideally including experience with Foundry AIP and GenAI use cases.

  • Experience integrating LLMs with structured and unstructured enterprise data.

  • Strong experience with Snowflake and cloud-based data environments.

  • Experience working within AWS.

  • Strong software development background and ability to independently build production-quality applications.

  • Experience developing modern web applications and dashboards using React.

  • Experience with APIs, data integrations, authentication, and enterprise application architecture.

  • Ability to take a use case or prototype and determine the technical path required to productionize it.

  • Comfortable working within environments with significant AI governance, security, access, and approval requirements. The ideal candidate:

  • Can build, not just advise on GenAI.

  • Has personally taken AI/LLM applications from concept or prototype into production.

  • Understands how to build agentic workflows on top of real enterprise data.

  • Is comfortable navigating ambiguity and figuring out what needs to happen next.

  • Does not wait for a detailed task list. If bandwidth opens up, they proactively find where they can contribute.

  • Is an independent thinker who will bring ideas forward and speak up.

  • Has the humility to jump into adjacent development or data work when that is where the team needs support.

  • Can ramp quickly without requiring significant training on the core technology stack. Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Palantir AIP specifically, including building applications or agentic workflows on the platform.

  • Experience working with ArcGIS Online (AGOL) or Esri technologies.

  • Experience working with enterprise geospatial or GIS data.

  • Background supporting electric utilities, energy, infrastructure, or similarly complex enterprise environments.

  • Experience across software engineering, data engineering, or data science in addition to GenAI development.

  • Bay Area / PG&E-local candidates are a plus.
