Job Summary / Purpose

The Site Procurement Specialist (Nuclear) Intern will be a temporarily employed full-

time college student at an accredited four-year institution of higher learning, who is in a

work-study program designed to provide practical work experience in their field of study.

This position is ideal for someone majoring in Supply Chain Management, Finance,

Accounting, Economics, or Industrial Engineering.

The Site Procurement Specialist (Nuclear) Intern is responsible for procuring

materials and goods to meet the demands of the business, utilizing advanced supply

chain and purchasing knowledge and experience. The role operates with a degree of

autonomy but may require minimal supervision or assistance in areas where the intern's

knowledge or experience is still developing. The intern will execute progressively more

complex and variable scopes of work, understanding the distinctions between catalog

and non-catalog spending, and utilizing Entergy's purchasing processes, systems, and

tools.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

All work will be done under the direction of a senior Procurement Specialist, and often in

close cooperation with several other Procurement Specialists. Duties include:

Developing purchasing options to meet the demands of the business and interacting

with business stakeholders, suppliers, and other Supply Chain teams

Assessing each material request to utilize the most appropriate sourcing channel,

identify the appropriate method of delivery, understand the commercial terms and

conditions to ensure accuracy in cost and volumes, and provide reporting, tracking,

and expediting as required

Performing duties in a manner that ensures materials are obtained in the most cost-

effective, efficient, and strategic method, with strict adherence to Entergy's policies,

procedures, and core values

Completing other duties as assigned by management

Education Requirements

Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited institution of higher learning and must have

or be working towards a B.S. Degree in:

Business Management

 Accounting

 Finance

 Supply Chain

 Business Administration

 Entrepreneurship

 International Business

 Business Analytics

 Marketing

 Computer Science

 Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical)

 Related field

Minimum GPA: Candidates must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (on a 4.0

scale)
