✨ Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! The Rite of Passage Team is hiring a LVN/LPN at The Oaks Academy in Brownwood, Texas ✨
The Oaks Academy is a secure post-adjudication facility located in Brownwood, Texas that provides comprehensive services to young men (13-17), using a trauma-informed, strength-based, gender responsive model. Through rigorous education, positive skill development, and individualized therapeutic interventions and treatment, we empower youth to reach their full potential. The facility features group, individual, and family therapy, on-site schooling, individual dorm rooms, and extracurricular opportunities for the young men. Pay : $30 per hour; can increase with level of education and experience.

What you will do: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a key member of The Oaks medical team, and provides for the general health care of students within the scope of your license. This may include administering immunizations, assisting with TB screen, flu vaccines, and the overall health maintenance of students and staff. As an LPN, you will also assist with training employees regarding relevant health care topics such as prevention of sports injuries, blood borne pathogens, CPR, First Aid, and behavioral disorders. This position assists in ordering supplies, pharmaceuticals, and other medical equipment for the Medical team.
To be considered you should: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent ~ current LVN/LPN licensure in the state of Texas is required ~ Be at least 21 years of age ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry ~ meet the requirements to be an eligible driver, including having an active Driver’s License
Schedule: 12 hour shifts; Rotating schedule with every other weekend off
