This job was posted by https://www.kansasworks.com : For more information, please see: https://www.kansasworks.com/jobs/13700045 Assist with calving heifers and cows, warming calves; Checking calves and cows multiple times daily; Break ice and thaw lines in watering facilities for cattle to drink; Freshen bedding with hay; Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as swather, baler, rake, loader, tillage tool to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as hay, wheat, canola, silage; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to employers fields, load employers crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags in close proximity to the farm; Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping; Regulate conditions; Attend to live farm animals including cattle such as feeding, watering, sorting; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures. Must speak and understand English. Housing is provided. Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence is also offered. Transportation will be provided at no cost to workers, from employer-provided housing and, if applicable, centralized pick-up points to the places of employment at the beginning of each workday and back at the end of each workday.
