Description
Are you ready to shape how Amazon sources and manages hardware components at scale? We are looking for a Hardware Commodity Specialist who can develop and execute procurement strategies for complex hardware categories, negotiate with suppliers across global markets, and drive measurable cost and quality improvements. In this role, you will own commodity strategies end-to-end, partnering with engineering, operations, and finance teams to ensure the right components are available at the right time and cost. Your analytical mindset, supplier management expertise, and ability to navigate ambiguity will be critical as you tackle challenges that span strategic planning and hands-on execution. If you are energized by solving multifaceted procurement problems and want your work to have a direct impact on Amazon's hardware supply chain, we want to hear from you.
A day in the life
You might start your morning reviewing supplier performance dashboards and preparing for a quarterly business review with a key component supplier. By midday, you are working with engineering partners to evaluate a new supplier's technical capabilities for an upcoming product launch. In the afternoon, you are analyzing market data to refine a should-cost model and presenting sourcing recommendations to leadership. Throughout it all, you are balancing strategic priorities with tactical execution, making trade-offs that keep programs on track.
