Full job description

About Mercor

Mercor's mission is to organize human intelligence to power the AI economy. We're a leading AI data company, building the layer between human expertise and frontier models. Millions of domain experts on the platform are paid over $4 million per day to train frontier AI models. Mercor's APEX benchmark family measures AI's real-world impact on professional work. Mercor Enterprise brings this same infrastructure to Fortune 500 companies: helping companies capture how their best people actually work, translating that expertise directly back into agents.

Mercor is creating a new category of work where expertise powers AI advancement. Achieving this requires an ambitious, fast-paced and deeply committed team. You’ll work alongside researchers, operators, and AI companies at the forefront of shaping the systems that are redefining society. Mercor is a profitable Series C company valued at $10 billion. We work in-person five days a week in our San Francisco, NYC, or London offices. About the Role As an Engagement Manager on the Code team, you will sell and deliver enterprise evaluations and post-training data for coding models and agents. Your customers are frontier AI labs, AI coding tool companies, and enterprise software organizations that need to measure and improve how their models perform on real-world engineering work. You'll be the technical and commercial owner of each account: running discovery with ML researchers and engineering leaders, scoping custom evaluation and data programs, and working with Mercor's product, operations, and engineering teams to deliver them. This role carries a revenue target and plays a key part in growing Mercor's code business.

What You'll Do

  • Own a portfolio of AI labs, coding tool companies, and enterprise engineering teams, and run the full sales cycle from first technical conversation through signed contract and expansion

  • Run technical discovery to understand where a customer's models fall short on real software tasks, and turn that into a clear proposal

  • Scope and price enterprise evaluation and post-training data programs, such as coding benchmarks, SFT and RLHF datasets, and agentic coding tasks across languages, frameworks, and codebases

  • Lead technical demos and pilots, and convert pilot results into multi-quarter commitments

  • Work with product, operations, and engineering to recruit software engineering experts and deliver on quality and timelines

  • Forecast pipeline and revenue, and bring customer feedback back to Mercor's product and research teams

Ideally You'd Have

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field

  • 4+ years as a sales engineer, solutions engineer, solutions architect, or technical account executive at an enterprise B2B software company

  • A track record of closing and expanding six- and seven-figure enterprise deals with technical buyers

  • Hands-on coding ability: you can read a pull request, write a script, and discuss how a model fails on real code

  • Familiarity with how LLMs are trained and evaluated (SFT, RLHF, coding benchmarks such as SWE-bench), or a strong drive to learn it quickly

  • Excellent written and verbal communication with both researchers and executives

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary w/ aggressive bi-annual performance bonus structure + meaningful equity (aligned with a venture-backed, rapidly scaling AI company)

  • $1.5K monthly stipend for meals

  • Free Equinox membership

  • $200 monthly laundry/housekeeping reimbursement

  • $200 monthly personal wellness reimbursement

  • Health, Dental, Vision insurance

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Up to $15k Relocation bonus

  • $10K proximity bonus (if you live within 0.5 miles of our office)
