Directs the Tax Accounting and Tax Forecasting sub-function; sets operating standards, priorities, and performance objectives and develops the tax team.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Forecast Model:

  • Owns the design and integrity of the company’s tax forecasting models and scenario analysis, applying tax technical depth to complex, judgment-driven positions.

  • Determines the effective tax rate impact of tax planning opportunities and recommends the tax position to be taken.

  • Delivers the tax inputs and insights to Corporate FP&A for annual earnings and long-range planning.

  • Tax Accounting:

  • Resolves the most complex tax accounting matters, including the corporate effective tax rate, acquisition accounting, and related tax financial reporting.

  • Establishes and governs tax accounting documentation and technical positions, including ASC 740-10 reserves.

  • Owns the design, execution, documentation, and revision of all tax-related financial controls for SOX Section 404 purposes.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert with internal and external auditors on all tax accounting matters.

  • Other:

  • Partners with the VP, Tax Planning to assess, record, and document tax planning strategies and changes in tax law.

  • Partners with the Director, Tax Compliance to integrate and optimize tax compliance and tax accounting processes end to end.

  • Audit controversies, model support

  • Provides as needed mentorship to Tax professionals

What you'll need (Required):

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field

  • A minimum of twelve years of related experience (OR ten years with a Masters)Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent

For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $159,000 to $226,000 (highly experienced).
