At the Governor’s Office of Elderly Affairs (GOEA), our mission is to advocate for the needs and rights of older adults, improve the quality of life for seniors, promote public awareness, prevent and address elder exploitation and abuse, build strong community partnerships, and support intergenerational activities. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to provide data entry, program reporting, and administrative support. The successful candidate will ensure that all duties and activities are performed accurately and efficiently, in accordance with GOEA policies and procedures, as well as applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: One year of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience. The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here.Job Duties: -Performs data entry and maintenance of the Aging and Disability Resource Directory (ADRD), including processing corrections, additions, and revisions to resource listings and assisting with the verification and accuracy of directory information. -Enters and maintains monthly program report data in Excel and other tracking systems for ADRC, SeniorRx, MIPPA, and Dementia programs. Maintains organized records, reviews data for completeness, and identifies missing, inconsistent, or inaccurate information. -Performs general office and administrative duties, including copying, scanning, filing, mailing, preparing documents, and maintaining organized files and records. -Assists with the preparation of materials for meetings, trainings, and outreach activities. Supports data cleanup, special projects, and other administrative tasks as needed. -Provides front desk support, including greeting visitors, answering and directing telephone calls, responding to general inquiries, and assisting staff and visitors with routine requests. -Provides administrative support for training and certification activities, including maintaining training records, preparing materials, tracking completion, and assisting with certificate documentation. -Provides general administrative assistance to program staff and performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Classified WAE, not to exceed 1,245 hours within a 12-month period.
