Job Description

Insight Global is partnering with an innovative, physician-led ambulatory surgery center (ASC) platform, to identify a Chief Operating Officer & Regional Operations Lead for its flagship Surgical Center in Gresham, OR. This is a newly created leadership position designed for a highly ambitious operator who thrives in high-growth environments and wants to build something from the ground up. This center is expected to officially launch in Q4 and will serve as the flagship facility for expanding their regional footprint. This leader will initially oversee the launch and operations of the center before expanding responsibility across multiple facilities as the organization grows. This is not a traditional healthcare administration role. The ideal candidate is someone who takes extreme ownership, enjoys being in the details of the business, and has demonstrated success driving operational performance, physician engagement, financial growth, and organizational scale within an ASC, outpatient surgical, or healthcare services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational launch and growth of their flagship Surgical Center, ensuring a successful opening and long-term operational performance.
  • Own facility and regional business performance, including operational execution, financial results, physician satisfaction, and growth initiatives.
  • Maintain full accountability for P&L management, budgeting, operational metrics, and business outcomes.
  • Partner closely with physicians to build strong relationships, remove operational barriers, and create an exceptional surgeon experience.
  • Drive growth initiatives through physician engagement, market expansion strategies, business development efforts, and volume growth opportunities.
  • Establish operational standards, workflows, and performance expectations that can scale across future regional facilities.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor administrative and clinical leadership teams while fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards while maintaining a high-performing surgical environment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, compliance, technology, revenue cycle, and growth teams to drive organizational objectives.
  • Serve as a key strategic leader helping shape this ASC's long-term regional and enterprise growth strategy.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive healthcare operations leadership experience within an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), outpatient surgery, physician practice, or related healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated experience owning and managing a P&L with measurable business results.
  • Experience leading operational growth initiatives, business expansion efforts, or multi-site healthcare operations.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, surgeons, and healthcare stakeholders.
  • Strong financial acumen, operational leadership, and business management experience.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, high-growth environment.
  • Track record of taking ownership, solving complex business challenges, and driving results with limited oversight.
  • Master's degree (MHA, MBA, MSN, or related field).
  • CASC (Certified Administrator Surgery Center) certification.
  • Experience launching, scaling, or standing up new healthcare facilities or surgery centers.
  • Multi-site ASC leadership experience.
  • Experience within physician-owned or joint venture ASC environments.
  • Familiarity with the Pacific Northwest healthcare market.
