Full job description
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience with at least 2 years of experience in the utility industry.
Relevant Work Experience

Well-developed writing skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (e.g., active listening, body language, patience, maintaining a friendly / positive attitude, tone, etc.) to support effective collaboration with colleagues and customers, required.

Able to adapt well to role and company culture. Consistently proactive and demonstrates actions towards achieving the team objectives. Recognizes and understands the impact of diverse work styles and behaviors, required.

Encourages self-appraisal via formal and informal means and participates in continuing professional development. Presents information and successfully conveys a point of view in a professional manner, required.

Ability to deal with conflicts in a reasoned, persuasive manner. Recognizes the need for escalation to management for issue resolution and support, required.

Rotational assignments within other Auditing Sections, required.

Experience and familiarity with company policies, procedures, systems or business processes or relevant audit experience is preferred. Evaluates operations, controls, or systems for effectiveness: develops or follows audit procedures. May train others in audit related functions, Preferred

Hands-on environmental, health and safety field experience is preferred (e.g. inspecting field crews, facility locations, etc.). Previous auditing or quality assurance experience is preferred. Knowledge of MAXIMO, EMIS, COS, SLS, EH&S BI Dashboard is preferred.

Other: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or other EH&S certification, Preferred
Physical Demands
- Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday
Additional Physical Demands

The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

May require extensive walking, standing, and climbing and working in all weather conditions.

Must be able to perform employee and contractor field crew inspections at various times throughout each month and throughout all service territories.

Off hour shifts are occasionally required including weekends.

Must be able to perform walkthroughs and reviews at Company Facility locations (including but not limited to: substations, unit substations, generating stations, service /operating centers, administrative buildings, tunnels, workout locations, etc.) throughout all service territories.
