Senior Financial Accounting Analyst, Disney Vacation Club Member Accounting

Job Description:

The Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Member Accounting team is responsible for managing DVC’s loan portfolio; as well as billing and collecting annual dues on behalf of the condo associations that it supports. This Senior Financial Accounting Analyst position will participate in DVC business and technology projects and provide ongoing business support as part of a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will have detailed knowledge of systems and accounting processes, support automation-focused solutions, assist with process planning activities, collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners, and support initiatives that reduce manual work and strengthen controls.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support DVC Member Accounting, Condominium Finance, and Financial Reporting in DVC technology projects by gathering requirements, assist with developing technology stories and testing scripts, identifying reporting needs, and performing regression, financial integration, and user acceptance testing.

  • Coordinate integration and accounting requirements between DVC systems, Financial Systems, and the banking institution for automated payments and journal entries.

  • Contribute and validate account code mapping in partnership with Financial Reporting and Financial Systems.

  • Ensure accurate accounting, internal controls, and reporting processes.

  • Support the development and testing of system controls designed to prevent automated payments from being processed before required quality checks are completed. Identify reporting needs that support audit and reconciliation activities.

  • Identify and recommend process improvements that create efficiencies, support automation opportunities, improve the end-user experience, and reduce manual processes in partnership with stakeholders.

  • Support all phases of system and report testing.

  • Create training documentation and facilitate training session for Member Accounting team members

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external partners regarding requirements, process changes, and project updates.

  • Ability to communicate and present information in small and large group settings by anticipating questions, engaging stakeholders, and tailoring messaging to audience needs

  • Ability to adapt quickly, work independently, take ownership, and work in a flexible team environment

  • Experience with large multi-phase business and technology projects

  • Ability to identify and recommend process improvements

  • Ability to prepare and present information to support decision making

  • Ability to plan and prioritize work and handle multiple priorities in a fast paced work environment while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and strong stakeholder service

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, Power BI, Tableau

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred

  • 3+ years of Finance or Accounting experience

  • Experience working on system projects from an accounting perspective

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 3+ years of Timeshare Accounting and industry knowledge

  • Detailed understanding of existing DVC systems and processes

The hiring range for this position in Florida is $99,900 to $121,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
