$140000 - $165000

Seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a full-time, hybrid role in Addison, TX (3 days onsite). This position will play a key role in building and ultimately owning a modern data platform for a growing home services organization, leveraging Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, Azure, and AI technologies. The ideal candidate will help drive enterprise reporting, data warehousing, and future AI initiatives across a multi-site business operating nationwide.

This is a high-impact role offering significant ownership, direct exposure to executive leadership, hands-on work with AI technologies, and a clear path to becoming the organization's long-term data engineering leader.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of Data Engineering experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake , including administration, optimization, and performance tuning

  • Advanced dbt experience with ownership of production projects (models, tests, snapshots, macros, CI/CD, and environment management)

  • Experience with Fivetran , Airbyte, Stitch, or similar ELT/integration platforms

  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional data modeling

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Snowflake Cortex Experience

  • AI/LLM integrations and prompt engineering experience

  • Experience with Great Expectations, Monte Carlo, Elementary, Soda, or similar data quality tools.

  • SnowPro Certification

  • Experience in multi-site or rapidly growing organizations through M&A activities.

Tech Breakdown

  • 40 % Snowflake Administration & Optimization

  • 30 % dbt Development & Data Modeling

  • 20 % Data Pipeline Development & ELT Management

  • 10 % AI & Advanced Analytics Initiatives

Daily Responsibilities

  • Own and optimize the Snowflake platform and data warehouse

  • Develop and maintain dbt models, data pipelines, and data marts

  • Manage data ingestion and integrations through Fivetran and related tools

  • Ensure data quality, monitoring, and pipeline reliability

  • Partner with business stakeholders and consulting teams to deliver scalable analytics solutions

  • Evaluate and implement AI-driven capabilities, including Snowflake Cortex and LLM integrations

  • Drive data engineering best practices, governance, and platform growth throughout the organization
