Software Engineer (Job Code: L007)

Job Description: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Scala/Java. Work with Scala play framework, SBT and some amount of frontend technologies such as JavaScript. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement robust APIs and business logic. Optimize performance, reliability, and fault tolerance across distributed systems and write clean, testable, and well-documented code. Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers as needed. Telecommuting arrangement available within same geographic location as assigned worksite location. ** ** Minimum Requirements: · Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. · Special Skills: This position also requires knowledge of and/or experience with (can be gained through education and/or experience): Play environment; BuildRel; Jenkins; Bitbucket or Stash; GitHub; Scala.
