Supervisory Housing Management Specialist

Summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located within the Directorate of Public Works at Fort Gordon, Georgia.

Duties

• Serve as the Housing Division Chief within the Directorate of Public Works.
• Supervise the work/duties of the Housing division’s personnel.
• Manage contractual agreements for family and unaccompanied housing.
• Develop comprehensive housing management plans for all non-privatized housing functions.
• Serve as the chief liaison between various stakeholders to include Garrison Command Staff.
• Provide oversight into the construction of the Community Development Management Plan.
• Formulate long-range improvement plans for leased housing, unaccompanied personnel housing (barracks), and off-post rental services.
• Prepare fiscal oversight on budgets to include financial work plans.

Qualifications

Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience 1). Directing a complex multi-faceted housing program, which includes managing large-scale projects. 2). Overseeing budgets and contracts. 3) Providing oversight for major construction projects. 4) Developing comprehensive housing management plans for non-privatized assets to include leased housing and rental programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
