What We Offer
Location: NH S Asheville Medical Plaza - 1815 Hendersonville Road Asheville, NC 28803
Schedule: PRN, as needed (no holidays, no weekends, no call or nights)
Current Surgical Tech experience needed
The ASC Surgical Technologist is expected to work in an operating suite for the center. The ASC Surgical Technologist is able to function as a team member in an ASC environment through cross-training to other primary areas, assisting with turnover, and all other aspects of day-to-day ASC operations.

What We're Looking For

Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology program or Military Training Equivalent (68D – Operating Room Specialist). For incumbents who are not graduates of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or have certification please see additional skills required. Online Surgical Tech program credits will not be accepted.

Experience: Previous Surgical Technologist experience, preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Current Surgical Tech Certification, preferred. Current Surgical Tech Certification - based on state specific regulations (South Carolina Region Only), required.

Additional Skills (required): For incumbents who are not graduates of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or have certification the following additional requirements apply: new graduates must obtain certification within 12months of hire. Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validation and competency testing. Demonstrate effective and appropriate customer service skills, verbal and nonverbal communication techniques, interpersonal relationship skills, and time management skills.

Additional Skills (preferred): One to two years of experience in sterile processing or equivalent training if assigned solely to sterile processing.
