This job was posted by https://idahoworks.gov : For more information, please see: https://idahoworks.gov/jobs/2628696 What youll do: - Monitor and empty trash containers. - Push a trash cart along streets and sidewalks while safely navigating around pedestrians and vendors. - Remove full trash bags from trash cans and place them in the trash cart. - Empty the trash cart into the designated dumpster when full. - Pick up and dispose of litter found on the streets. - Operate a manual push street sweeper to clean vendor areas at the end of the night. - Assist with event setup and tear down as assigned. - Maintain clean, safe, and orderly public areas. - Other duties as assigned What youll need: - Ability to walk approximately 10,000 steps during a shift. - Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds, while asking for assistance whenever needed. - Ability to work safely and professionally around the general public and vendors. - Must be able to pass a drug test and criminal background check. - Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. - Sufficient hearing to understand normal conversation. - Ability to perform frequent physical activities including: Walking, Bending, Twisting, Kneeling, and Squatting - Reaching above and below shoulder height - Must follow safe lifting practices and always ask for help when assistance is needed with lifting.
