About the Role:
Hello Heart is hiring a U.S.-based cardiologist to strengthen our evidence-to-business function: turning clinical, research, and economic evidence into better product decisions, credible market claims, and commercial advantage.
Reporting to the SVP, AI & Data Science, you will work as part of our in house Medical Affairs team and partner closely with Product, Commercial, Research, Actuarial, and Data Science. The clinical team brings clinical expertise into priority product initiatives, supports strategic customers and prospects, translates evidence into usable assets, and builds Hello Heart’s credibility with health plans, employers, consultants, clinicians, and external partners.
Responsibilities:
-
Serve as a senior clinical partner across Hello Heart’s priority product, commercial, and evidence initiatives.
-
Work alongside other Medical Affairs leaders to embed clinical judgment in product discovery, clinical requirements, launch planning, and post-launch learning.
-
Partner with Product leaders to define the clinical problem, intended outcomes, member-facing clinical considerations, and evidence requirements for priority initiatives.
-
Join priority prospect, client, consultant, partner, and executive conversations; explain Hello Heart’s clinical model, address complex objections, and strengthen clinical credibility.
-
Help translate clinical, research, and economic evidence into clear and defensible claims, buyer narratives, presentations, RFP responses, and commercial assets.
-
Partner with Research and Actuarial to identify the studies, endpoints, analyses, and evidence needed to support priority product and market propositions.
-
Provide clinical input on high-consequence member-facing flows, clinical language, escalation criteria, safety guardrails, and external clinical claims.
-
Build and maintain strategic external relationships with clinicians, health systems, academic institutions, professional societies, consultants, and other relevant partners.
-
Represent Hello Heart at selected industry conferences, customer meetings, panels, and external forums.
-
Help establish a scalable operating model for clinical coverage, evidence translation, commercial enablement, and external clinical engagement.
-
Work with Bernardo and the broader leadership team to shape a durable division of coverage across product lines, market segments, and priority initiatives after joining.
Qualifications:
-
MD, board-certified in Cardiology, with the ability to maintain appropriate U.S. credentialing.
-
12+ years of clinical experience, including meaningful exposure to health plans, employers, Medicare, digital health, healthcare technology, or related healthcare business models.
-
Current or recent clinical practice and strong familiarity with the U.S. healthcare ecosystem.
-
Experience in digital health, healthcare technology, or high-growth startup environments.
-
Demonstrated ability to partner with Product teams and translate clinical expertise into practical technology and user experiences.
-
Strong commercial judgment and experience supporting complex enterprise sales, client, consultant, or partner conversations.
-
Ability to translate clinical and scientific evidence into clear business narratives without overstating the evidence.
-
Strong executive presence, presentation skills, and credibility with senior external stakeholders.
-
Experience with clinical research, evidence generation, and scientific communications.
-
Proven track record and genuine interest in using AI tools for problem-solving and process improvement.
-
Ability to travel approximately 30%.
