Sr. Project Scheduler

Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Scheduler to support transmission and substation capital projects. This role goes beyond traditional construction scheduling and includes forecasting, budget tracking, accrual management, month-end variance analysis, and project financial oversight. The ideal candidate will have experience in Primavera P6, project forecasting, and managing multiple projects at once. Utility experience, particularly within transmission and substation environments, is highly preferred.

Skills and Requirements

• Approximately 8+ years of project scheduling experience.

• Average project is around $5M

• Forecasting experience (at least 1 year preferred).

• Primavera P6 experience (at least 1 year)

• Experience training or mentoring junior schedulers.

• Experience coordinating closely with Project Managers.

• Experience managing large portfolios of schedules.

• Experience understanding overall project health, not just updating schedules

• Experience with project financials, budgets, accruals, and forecasting Ability to manage multiple projects/schedules at one time

• Utility industry experience

• Electric utility experience

• Transmission line project experience

• Substation project experience

• Experience performing variance analysis and financial reporting
