Software Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a strong background in automated testing to support Peraton Labs on the next phase of an Army program. This is a fully remote opportunity for an engineer who brings 5+ years of professional software development experience and is comfortable working across both application development and software testing. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Python and TypeScript, as well as experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions using Playwright. This individual should also be proficient with Jenkins and understand how automated testing fits into CI/CD pipelines and the broader software development lifecycle. The engineer will be responsible for developing and enhancing software, building reliable automated tests, identifying and troubleshooting defects, and helping ensure applications meet quality and performance expectations throughout development. We are looking for someone who approaches testing from an engineering perspective and can write clean, maintainable code while improving overall test coverage and automation. Candidates should be comfortable collaborating with other software engineers in a technical development environment and contributing to the continued maturation of testing and automation practices. An active Secret clearance is required, along with 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a cleared engineer looking for a fully remote position supporting an important Army program with Peraton Labs.
