Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Automated QA Tester for a top enterprise client in Cincinnati. This individual will provide hands-on expertise across backend, API, database, and automation testing while helping develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks. The ideal candidate brings strong Python, SQL, API testing, and CI/CD experience and is comfortable owning both manual and automated testing efforts. This person will work closely with QA teams, developers, business stakeholders, and an offshore team to develop test plans and scripts, execute regression testing, troubleshoot defects, and ensure quality throughout the software delivery lifecycle. Strong communication is critical, as this position will serve as an important connection point between technical teams and stakeholders.
Skills and Requirements
-7–15 years of QA/testing experience -Strong communication and stakeholder-facing skills, including collaboration with QA, development, and offshore teams -Strong backend system and database testing experience -Hands-on API/Web Services testing -Experience with ReadyAPI / SoapUI -Strong experience across both manual and automated testing -Proven ability to create automation scripts and build/develop test automation frameworks -Strong Python development/scripting experience -Experience working in VS Code -Strong SQL knowledge and database testing capabilities -Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including automated regression execution -Experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts Playwright experience Java and/or JavaScript experience Experience testing Java and Python APIs Experience with Kafka and big data/data-movement testing BDD automation experience using Cucumber/Gherkin Selenium WebDriver/Grid experience JUnit/TestNG and Maven experience Jenkins CI/CD experience Scrum and Kanban Agile experience
