Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Field Technician to provide hands-on technical support across multiple locations. This role requires a highly skilled IT professional with a strong background in desktop support, infrastructure, networking, and site deployments. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, serving as the primary IT resource for assigned locations, and supporting a wide range of technology initiatives including site buildouts, hardware deployments, network installations, and end-user support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary onsite IT support resource for assigned offices, facilities, and remote locations.

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, peripherals, and enterprise applications.

  • Deploy, configure, image, and maintain end-user hardware and software according to company standards.

  • Support technology refresh initiatives, hardware lifecycle management, asset tracking, and inventory control.

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain networking infrastructure including cabling, patch panels, switches, wireless access points, and MDF/IDF environments.

  • Perform rack-and-stack activities, network closet remediation, cable management, and physical infrastructure installations.

  • Coordinate and execute office technology deployments, site openings, relocations, expansions, and decommissioning activities.

  • Support and maintain audiovisual systems, conference room technologies, digital signage, and Microsoft Teams Rooms environments.

  • Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues involving wired and wireless networks.

  • Partner with internal IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of infrastructure and technology projects.

  • Provide end-user training, technical guidance, and adoption support for new technologies and business applications, including AI-enabled solutions.

  • Document technical procedures, support activities, and site configurations in accordance with company standards.

  • Travel extensively to support a nationwide portfolio of locations and technology initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on IT support experience across desktop, infrastructure, and field support environments.

  • Experience serving as the sole or primary IT resource for a location with minimal supervision.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows operating systems, hardware, networking, and enterprise technologies.

  • Hands-on experience with network cabling, patching, wireless networking, and MDF/IDF support.

  • Experience with rack-and-stack deployments, infrastructure installations, and network closet organization.

  • Proven experience deploying laptops, imaging systems, performing hardware refreshes, and managing IT assets.

  • Knowledge of audiovisual technologies, conference room systems, and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams Rooms.

  • Experience supporting office buildouts, relocations, site commissioning, or large-scale technology deployment projects.

  • Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and drive issues to resolution with minimal oversight.

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting multi-site enterprise environments.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Intune, and endpoint management technologies.

  • Experience working with IT infrastructure vendors and third-party service providers.

  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications, or equivalent experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Menasha, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
