Full job description

Operations Coordinator.

Location: Memphis, TN

Department: Operations

Reports To: Director of Operations

Classification: Regular, Full-Time, Exempt

Position Summary

Operations Coordinator works directly with the Director of Operations in maintaining a safe, clean and secure building to help the overall guest experience as per our organizational mission. The Operations Coordinator serves as point of contact for any issues that arise during their shift by managing the facility and property after hours, weekends, and holidays.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Check guest families into facility by confirming reservation in the system

  • Act as the first point of contact for any issues that may arise during a scheduled shift including any emergency situations

  • Ensure safety and security of families by working with the Security Team and MPD

  • Restocking family pantries, coffee area, and grab-and-go refrigerators

  • Receive and process all incoming donations, mail, and deliveries to House, and fill in the form on the office App

  • Scheduled safety walks to ensure all building systems are operating normally and promptly address any issues discovered

  • Log and follow up on all maintenance issues reported and observed during walk-through of the House

  • Maintain all family information as private and confidential

  • Address families’ needs with prompt and appropriate actions and pass along to Family Services when needed

  • Exercise good judgement in decision-making and managing multiple areas simultaneously while knowing when to escalate issues

  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude with families, staff, donors, and volunteers

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Competencies

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Two (2) to Five (5) years relevant work experience

  • Experience working with diverse populations; Spanish language skills beneficial

  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite & basic computer knowledge

  • Basic maintenance and/or hotel concierge knowledge a plus

  • Strong communication skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to handle difficult situations with confidence and compassion

Compensation

This is a full-time salary-exempt position. This position is eligible for medical, dental, 401(k), and paid time off (PTO) benefits. Compensation depends on experience.

Pay Details: $47,000.00 to $50,000.00 per year
