The DeKalb County School District is seeking an experienced and professional Clerk, Data Entry.

Title: Clerk, Data Entry

Performs routine tasks to support the Learning Resource Center, updating and maintaining a collection of educational materials, including DVDs, sheet music, and process books to ensure accurate Machine Readable Cataloging (MARC) records are available for users. Performs duties under direct supervision as an entry-level individual contributor.

Essential Job Duties

  • Processes and catalogs books and other library materials, ensuring a current and relevant collection through regular weeding of outdated items.
  • Provides exceptional customer service by assisting patrons with locating and checking out materials and resolving inquiries.
  • Inputs maintenance work orders into the fleet management database and updates systems to correct errors or extract data as needed.
  • Maintains accurate records for monthly inspections, parts usage, service equipment, and vendor services, and reviews data for integrity and identifies trends.
  • Assists managers, mechanics, and other personnel with maintenance-related data queries regarding parts usage and service information.
  • Compiles comprehensive data on fleet maintenance activities to support decision-making processes within the organization.
  • Manages current fleet inventory effectively and coordinates the sale of vehicles and equipment in line with organizational requirements.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma with at least one (1) year of closely related experience required.
  • Associate's degree is preferred.
