Quality Engineer

Position Description We are hiring a Quality Engineer at our Jefferson City, MO manufacturing facility supporting our Air Cooled Applications business. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role will play a key part in supporting a rapidly growing operation by leading supplier-related quality activities while also supporting internal and customer quality initiatives. This is a hands-on, onsite role for a Quality Engineer who enjoys problem solving, working cross-functionally with Operations and Engineering, and driving issues to permanent resolution in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. ## Key Responsibilities - Lead and manage supplier quality issues, including containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and follow-up - Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (8D preferred) to supplier, production, and customer quality issues - Serve as a primary point of contact for supplier quality performance and improvement efforts - Conduct and support product, process, and system audits in alignment with ISO 9001 requirements - Support and maintain compliance with IATF-16949 standards (experience preferred, not required) - Review quality trends, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions - Support APQP and PPAP activities as required - Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality Supervisors, and QA Technicians - Provide quality leadership through influence and delegation (dotted-line support to QA technicians) - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in a high-growth manufacturing environment ## Required Education & Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline is required - 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications - Exposure to ISO 9000 or IATF-16949 preferred - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities - Comfortable working cross-functionally and communicating with suppliers and internal teams **Why Choose Modine? ** Health & Well-being: - Day One - - Competitive health, dental & vision insurance coverage - Employee Assistance Program - After 90 days of continuous employment - - Maternity Leave (12 weeks at 100% pay) - - 8 weeks of short term disability leave paid at 100% - 4 weeks of paid parental leave paid at 100% - Paternity Leave (4 weeks at 100% pay) Financial Benefits: - 401k Retirement plan and company paid match - Life Insurance - Health Savings Account (HSA) with employer contribution - Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) - Short Term Disability (company paid) - Long Term Disability Work-Life Balance: - Competitive time-off policies - Tuition Reimbursement To view full benefits information: MyModine Benefits{target="_self"} Modine is an equal opportunity employer. The specific offer will depend on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and othe job-related considerations but will be within the stated range.
