Full job description
About Teleskope Teleskope is redefining data security for the AI era with the only dedicated platform that combines precise visibility with automated, agentic remediation. Teleskope continuously scans, catalogs and classifies data in-motion and at-rest while automating policy-based actions, helping organizations proactively manage data sprawl while securely enabling AI adoption. Following our $25 million Series A round, Teleskope is in the midst of a high-growth phase, serving customers ranging from AI leaders like Legora and Notion to global enterprises like Chevron Phillips Kohl’s. About the Role Teleskope is hiring a Recruiting Lead to own and scale hiring across the company. As our first dedicated recruiting hire, you’ll play a critical role in building and growing teams across Engineering, GTM, and G&A, while shaping the recruiting strategy, processes, and tools that will support our next stage of growth. This role will report directly to the VP of Operations and work closely with hiring managers across the business to attract and hire exceptional talent while reinforcing a people-first approach to growth. Must be based in New York City (hybrid, in-office in the Financial District). What You'll Do
-
Own full life-cycle recruiting for roles across Engineering, G&A, and GTM simultaneously, playing a critical role in building the teams that will shape Teleskope’s next stage of growth
-
Build and execute creative sourcing strategies to attract exceptional talent, develop strong pipelines, and deliver a thoughtful, high-quality candidate experience across every function
-
Act as a strategic talent partner to hiring managers and interviewers to define and execute best-in-class interview processes, including leading interviewer training, calibration sessions, and hiring enablement
-
Build Teleskope’s recruiting foundation from the ground up, including scalable processes, tools, AI-powered workflows, and reporting that make hiring smarter, faster, and more effective
-
Lead structured debriefs and drive alignment across stakeholders, and ensure hiring decisions are thoughtful, timely, and grounded in clear evaluation criteria
-
Be a champion of Teleskope’s mission and culture, creating a compelling candidate experience and helping top talent understand the impact they can make here
-
Own recruiting metrics and pipeline visibility, using data and insights to identify bottlenecks, improve hiring velocity, and keep leadership informed on progress and priorities
What You Bring
-
6+ years of full life-cycle recruiting experience, with direct experience across Engineering, G&A, and GTM functions
-
Prior experience recruiting inside an earlier-stage, high-growth startup that scaled quickly
-
Comfort directing and coaching the work of a more junior recruiter, even without a prior formal management title
-
Strong outbound sourcing skills, with experience identifying, engaging, and closing niche or hard-to-fill talent in competitive markets
-
Experience building or improving recruiting process and tooling, not just operating inside an existing one
-
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the judgment to adjust style for engineers, operators, and sales leaders alike
-
A bias for speed and pace without sacrificing candidate experience or hiring bar
Nice to Haves
-
Prior formal people-management experience
-
Experience scaling a recruiting function from 0 to 1
-
Active, specific use of AI tools in a recruiting workflow
-
Experience partnering with a VC's talent team or an embedded recruiter on a search
-
ATS and recruiting-ops setup experience (scorecards, structured interview design, funnel reporting)
-
Experience recruiting in cybersecurity, data security, or related technical industries
What You'll Get
-
An opportunity to join an early-stage startup in one of today’s fastest-growing markets
-
The opportunity to be Teleskope’s founding recruiter, with the ownership and autonomy to shape our talent strategy, build the recruiting function from the ground up and play a key role in scaling the company
-
Room to learn, grow, and rapidly advance in your career as part of a growing team
-
A beautiful office in NYC’s Financial District, with breakfast and snacks provided daily, and weekly catered lunch
-
Flexible vacation and work-from-home days
-
Competitive salary and meaningful equity
-
Health, vision, dental, 401k and more benefits, heavily subsidized by Teleskope
