Job Title: Senior Accountant
Job Description
The Senior Accountant will support and oversee the accounting operations of a growing organization with multiple business divisions, including finance and dealership operations. This individual will be responsible for month-end and year-end close activities, maintaining the general ledger, producing accurate financial reports, performing reconciliations, and supporting budgeting and forecasting initiatives. The role partners closely with operational leadership to ensure accurate reporting of financial activity, inventory transactions, financing operations, and cash management. The Senior Accountant will also support audits, tax compliance initiatives, and process improvement projects while serving as a resource and mentor to junior accounting staff.
Responsibilities

Lead monthly close activities including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

Maintain and ensure accuracy of general ledger activity across multiple business entities.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership review and business decision-making.

Account for balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.

Ensure accounting procedures, reporting practices, and internal controls align with GAAP standards.

Prepare, review, and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries supporting accurate financial reporting.

Analyze operating results, trends, cash flow, and business performance across multiple entities.

Support budgeting cycles, forecasting activities, and variance reporting.

Manage accounting activities and reporting requirements across dealership, finance, and collections business lines.

Work Environment
This is an onsite position located in Harrington, Delaware, within a professional office environment. The role involves collaborative interaction with finance, operations, and leadership teams in a fast-paced setting supporting multiple business entities.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Harrington, DE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
