Binghamton University is a NCAA Division I institution in the America East Conference, located in Binghamton, NY with 22 intercollegiate athletic teams. Binghamton University is currently seeking a Manager of Game Day Experience.
Primary duties include:
-
Responsible for developing and coordinating promotional plans with key focus on increasing fan attendance and enhancing the game day athletic contests and sponsored events
-
Create run-of-show and execute in-game videos, including hype intro videos and sponsorship content
-
Assist with the design and production of marketing print and digital materials
-
Collaborate with student organizations and student body in order to develop ways to increase student attendance at athletic events
-
Serve as the in-game emcee during athletic competitions
-
Assist with season and individual ticket campaigns
-
Create and distribute advertising and promotional materials designed to promote athletic programs and events
-
Create and implement strategies to maximize game atmosphere opportunities and in-game promotional activities to produce remarkable experiences for fans

Plan and coordinate all pre-game, half-time, and post-game promotions and activities
-
Work with the Associate Athletic Director for Corporate Partnerships to implement contractual in-game elements of partnership agreements

Work with the Associate Athletic Director for Community Engagement and Marketing to execute special community-focused events
-
Create and coordinate the event scripts for all home athletic contests
-
Select, train and supervise the Marketing Assistants, event staff and student interns
-
Serve as liaison for the band, spirit groups, campus organizations, and game entertainment performers
-
Manage the Jr. Bearcat Club, including increasing membership and developing activities for members
-
Serve as a key member of special events, including the Celebrating Women's Athletics Luncheon, Bearcats Golf Classic and the Student-Athlete Awards Banquet
-
Attend meetings, represent the department on committees and maintain relationships with groups on and off campus
-
Create, manage and distribute bi-weekly electronic "Bearcats Bulletin" newsletter
-
Coordinate department donation requests
-
Assist with ticket operations in the Ticket Sales Manager's absence
-
Plan and execute social media strategies that are engaging and fan-friendly.

Oversee all aspects of Baxter - Binghamton University's mascot
Job Requirements:
-
Bachelor's degree
-
At least 2 years of experience in marketing within an intercollegiate athletics department or professional sports organization
-
Ability to work non-standard work schedule at times, including evenings and events, to accommodate the duration of events
-
Computer background, including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and/or Adobe Software
Preferred:
-
Master's degree
-
Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and other similar graphic design software
