Summary
About the Position: Serves as a Division Chief, with authority and responsibility to direct, coordinate, and provide assistance and advice to the Director of RM for a variety of Command management documents obligating Rock Island Arsenal-Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center (RIA-JMTC) resources to the accomplishment of specific tasks.

- Plan and execute operational, administrative, and technical functions of the organization.
- Direct, coordinate and provide assistance to Director of Resource Management (RM).
- Evaluate execution of customer programs for overall effectiveness.
- Provide expert interpretation on policies and objectives.
- Perform the full scope of supervisory personnel functions.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience required at the GS-13: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, such as: Knowledge of funds management functions (e.g., acceptance of customer orders, financial reporting, funds control) to provide guidance and direction; apply analytical and evaluative methods to issues concerning program acceptance and execution; and analyze/evaluate proposed program requirements and project control schedules to ensure compatibility, program balance and proper time phasing. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position (GS-12) in the federal service. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Accountability Customer Service Decisiveness Flexibility Interpersonal Skills Problem Solving Resilience Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. Continued employment requires written certification that it advances the public interest. One year supervisory probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest.
