Job Title: Logistics Coordinator Job Description
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will assist the Yard Manager with daily operations of the laydown yard and material staging areas. You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, documenting, and organizing incoming material deliveries, tracking inventory levels, and maintaining accurate records of material receipts, transfers, and usage.
Responsibilities

Assist with the daily operations of the laydown yard and material staging areas.

Receive, inspect, document, and organize incoming material deliveries.

Track inventory levels and maintain accurate records of material receipts, transfers, and usage.
-
Coordinate material requests from field supervisors and ensure timely distribution to work crews.
-
Monitor and organize electrical materials including conduit, cable reels, wire, switchgear components, panels, transformers, fittings, hardware, and termination kits.

Create and maintain receiving logs, inventory reports, delivery schedules, and material tracking documentation.

Verify packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders for accuracy.

Coordinate with project management, procurement teams, vendors, and field leadership regarding material availability and deliveries.

Assist with inventory audits and reconciliation of material quantities.

Maintain organized storage areas and ensure materials are properly protected from damage or loss.

Support loading and unloading activities using forklifts, telehandlers, or other material handling equipment when required.

Help identify material shortages, delivery discrepancies, and long-lead procurement concerns.
Essential Skills
-
Must have experience in inventory control and shipping and receiving.
-
Must have experience with understanding electrical materials.
-
Ability to work through March 2027 without absence.
-
Experience in the construction industry or in the inventory controls or material space, particularly electrical construction.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
-
2+ years of experience in construction logistics, warehouse operations, inventory control, or material coordination.
-
Experience supporting commercial, industrial, utility, manufacturing, data center, or electrical construction projects.
-
Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
-
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and inventory tracking systems.
-
Ability to read packing slips, shipping documents, and material inventories.
-
Strong communication and coordination skills.
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment with multiple priorities.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Brownsville, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
