Duties

The United States Space Force (USSF) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton OH is searching for a Global Competition Team Lead to support NSIC (GG-0132-13). Description: This position provides mission oversight, mentorship, and guidance to a team of approximately 7 civilian, military, and contractor personnel. Responsibilities include planning and organizing all-source technical intelligence analysis and production within the flight, ensuring that all analysts comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. The role involves leading a broad analytical effort focused on foreign transnational space entities and commercial corporations, with analysis encompassing key actors, infrastructure, supply chain networks, the impact of financial investments, and technology transfer. Additionally, this position requires collaboration with other intelligence professionals and stakeholders to facilitate information sharing and coordinate analytical efforts, as well as the development and application of innovative analytic techniques and advanced methodologies to address complex intelligence problems. Ideal Candidate: Extensive experience working in/ or have an academic degree in either a field related to intelligence (political science, global studies, intelligence, etc.) or a STEM degree applicable to the position. The ideal candidate should have an understanding of the principles, concepts, tradecraft, and methodology of the intelligence cycle, requirements, techniques, sources, and reporting mechanisms especially as they apply to transnational corporations, non-state entities, and commercial space actors can adversely affect US national security. The individual should also have experience with/ and knowledge of: (1) NSIC, USSF/USAF, and OPM personnel policies and processes, team building, and mentoring as well as knowledge of DoD contract management programs. (2) Agency, DAF, DoD, and national-level doctrine, regulations, policies, guidelines, requirements, and initiatives related to assigned programs or projects, and (3) Foreign space and counterspace systems, concepts, technologies, and capabilities. They must possess the ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions of a small team. They also should have skills in: (1) Establishing and maintaining effective relationships, negotiating complex issues, and resolving conflicts based on mature judgement, experience, and recognized professional standing. (2) Applying analytical and evaluative techniques to identify, investigate, and resolve complex issues or problems. Key Skills and Abilities: 1. Knowledge of established intelligence research analysis techniques and possession of analytical abilities. 2. Skill in gathering facts and using effective, analytical and evaluative methods to accurately assess information and make sound decisions. 3. Skill in the use of standard automated office productivity suites. 4. Ability to communicate orally, and in writing with technical accuracy, sufficient to develop and present intelligence reports. 5. Knowledge of intelligence oversight, security policies, practices and procedures to maintain control of classified material. Qualifications
