Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an SharePoint Administrator/Developer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.  The ideal candidate is a senior developer with extensive testing automation experience with strong software testing experience who thrives in dynamic environments, provides leadership across Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies, and ensures testing excellence through proactive guidance and cross-team collaboration.

What will you do:

  • Serve as a SharePoint Administrator/Developer, supporting site collections and developing business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.

  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance automated testing solutions and scripts, leveraging tools such as IBM Rational Functional Tester (RFT), Eclipse, and Java.

  • Develop Java-based utilities and standalone applications to automate test data preparation, document parsing, and other repeatable testing activities, significantly reducing manual processing time.

  • Develop solutions that interact with relational databases using Java SQL APIs, including querying, selecting, inserting, and validating data within PostgreSQL (psql) or comparable database environments.

  • Develop Java-based solutions that integrate with API testing tools such as ReadyAPI, including command-line execution, submission of REST/POST requests, and parsing and validating API responses.

  • Apply object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns, including the Factory Pattern, to develop reusable, maintainable, and scalable automation components.

  • Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency, data preparation, and repeatability through automation and reusable technical solutions.

  • Operate and support designated customer tools and applications to facilitate and execute software transmittal and deployment processes.

  • Provide dedicated Java development support, including the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of Java-based applications and solutions.

  • Support the onboarding of projects to the designated automated transmittal process.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of professional experience, or a Master’s degree and 8 years of professional experience, or an Associate’s degree and 12 years of professional experience, or a High School diploma/equivalent and 14 years of professional experience.

  • Experience administering, configuring, maintaining, and supporting Microsoft SharePoint environments, including SharePoint sites, site collections, permissions, access controls, and user support.

  • Hands-on experience developing and supporting business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.

  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining SharePoint-based solutions, workflows, forms, and process automations to support business and operational requirements.

  • Experience troubleshooting SharePoint functionality, permissions, workflows, integrations, and other site-related issues.

  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into SharePoint and Power Platform solutions that improve collaboration, workflow efficiency, and business processes.

  • Experience with Java development and automated testing solutions, including developing reusable utilities, scripts, and applications to support testing and deployment activities.

  • Experience working with REST APIs, relational databases such as PostgreSQL, and CI/CD or automated deployment processes.

  • Experience with modern development and version control tools, including Jenkins, GitHub/GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, JIRA/Xray, or comparable tools.

  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder with 3 or more years of U.S. residency).

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an MBI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current active IRS MBI Clearance strongly preferred.

  • Experience working with the federal government.

  • Knowledge of current IRS tax administration software applications.

  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.

Target Salary Range $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
