By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
ABOUT THE JOB We are looking to bring in a Product Test Engineer to support our test equipment deployment to various manufacturing and contract manufacturing sites and support in identifying testing improvement and solutions to our internal test development team. This person will work with the rest of the organization to identify gaps in test coverage, perform initial root cause analysis on failed products and support in implementing changes necessary to ensure product quality. A strong Product Test Engineer will have a proven track record of developing test strategies from concept through production deployment, standing up test lines, and performing root cause analysis on field and manufacturing failures, with a background spanning integration, production, and sustainment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own the end-to-end product test strategy from concept through production launch, including DFT requirements, test coverage models, yield targets, and quality metrics across all lifecycle stages.
- Deploy, commission, and continuously improve automated test systems for high-volume manufacturing, driving scalability and production readiness.
- Design and specify custom test fixtures, tooling, and interfaces to support product validation and production testing.
- Collaborate with board designers to define and specify custom interface boards and test access points that maximize test coverage across the product.
- Define and optimize structural and functional test strategies, including ICT, MDA, and flying probe, to ensure comprehensive fault coverage and balance between structural defect detection and functional validation.
- Perform root cause analysis on field and manufacturing failures, drive corrective actions across design, quality, and manufacturing engineering, and validate resolution through regression testing.
- Leverage test data analytics to identify trends, predict failures, and drive yield improvement.
- Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, and user documentation within configuration management and MES systems.
- Work with contract manufacturers to replicate, validate, and maintain test capability at external production sites.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on test methodologies, equipment operation, and troubleshooting procedures. •
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields OR 6+ years of advanced knowledge acquired through work experience and/or intellectual instruction in lieu of degree
- 4+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing test or hardware/system integration
- Experience working with contract manufacturers on PCBA and electronic assembly testing, with thorough knowledge of PCBA testing standards and methods.
- Proficiency with electronics test equipment such as power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, function generators, spectrum analyzers, and data acquisition systems.
- Hands-on experience with board-level communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, and UART for test development and debug.
- Familiarity with Python, LabVIEW, and/or MATLAB for test automation, data parsing, and visualization.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing protocols, network architecture, and end-to-end signal flow.
- Strong root cause analysis skills for non-conforming hardware.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to travel to remote sites to support test integration, commissioning, and sustainment of test equipment as required.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- Familiarity with Linux, Ubuntu and NixOS.
- Experience with test automation, PCBA design and mechanical design.
- Experience supporting RF production testing, EW systems, or wireless/communications hardware.
