POSITION SUMMARY:

The Hire to Retire Global Process Owner (GPO) provides strategic leadership and end-to-end accountability for the design, governance, standardization, and continuous improvement of the global Hire to Retire process. This role defines the H2R vision, strategy, process standards, controls, performance measures, and transformation roadmap, ensuring an integrated and consistent employee lifecycle experience across the enterprise.

The GPO partners across HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, business functions, and service delivery partners to align H2R processes with enterprise objectives and enable effective execution. The role drives global process simplification and standardization, leverages data, automation, and emerging technologies to modernize service delivery, and establishes the governance and performance framework necessary to deliver scalable, compliant, and efficient H2R processes and an enhanced employee experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and execute the global H2R vision and strategy, serving as the single point of accountability for end to end process governance across recruiting, onboarding, development, payroll, and offboarding. Ensure alignment with Finance, Payroll, IT, and broader enterprise workforce objectives.

  • Establish and maintain global H2R policies, controls, and service standards, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all stages of the employee lifecycle.

  • Coach and develop next level leaders and process SMEs, building organizational capability and ensuring high quality, reliable service delivery across regions and functions.

  • Design and standardize H2R processes, data models, and executional policies to support scalability, accuracy, and operational excellence. Deploy automation, self service, and analytics tools—including employee portals, workflow automation, and AI enabled support—to enhance speed, transparency, and user experience.

  • Drive continuous improvement and process mining initiatives to simplify complexity, enhance productivity, and elevate the employee experience. Partner with HR Centers of Excellence and business units to align process design with talent, performance, and reward strategies.

  • Embed compliance, data privacy, and audit requirements—including GDPR, payroll accuracy, and labor reporting—into H2R systems and workflows. Ensure controls are integrated into design and consistently followed.

  • Oversee third party service providers and BPO partners, managing SLAs, audit results, performance scorecards, and adherence to compliance expectations.

  • Maintain H2R KPI dashboards and reporting frameworks, covering payroll accuracy, onboarding completion, employee query resolution, service satisfaction, and other measures necessary to ensure transparency, accountability, and ongoing performance improvement.

  • Practical experience implementing AI, intelligent automation, and HR technology solutions.

  • Strong end-to-end H2R process knowledge and shared services experience.

  • Ability to challenge mature processes and identify opportunities for the next level of performance.

  • Strong understanding of process excellence, service delivery, performance metrics, and financial value creation.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate across organizational boundaries.

  • Experience leading change, developing talent, and building high-performing teams.

  • Strong learning agility, intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and an innovative mindset.

  • Ability to operate effectively within a complex, matrixed enterprise environment.

  • Potential to serve as a role model and thought partner for other Global Process Owners.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s in Human Resources, Business, or related field required.

  • Master’s (MBA/HRM) or professional certification (PHR/SPHR, SHRM-SCP, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt) preferred.
