Go to: https://clermontengineer.org/employment-opportunities/ for a copy of the complete position description and application CLASS DESCRIPTION: Under general supervision of a Deputy Engineer or other designee of the County Engineer, conducts on-site inspections of all aspects of capital improvement projects, highway and subdivision infrastructure, bridge repair maintenance, and construction operations to ensure compliance with county and state specifications. QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of secondary education or equivalent; four (4) years experience in construction management; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (indicates may be obtained within six (6) months of employment) Must possess and maintain a valid Ohio Driver's license; must possess a valid Ohio Class B Commercial Driver's license; must maintain insurability under the Engineer's insurance policy. Benefits Include: • Eleven paid holidays per year (2 additional half day holidays in certain years) • Two weeks annual vacation accrual (accrued hours available after successful completion of a 120 day probationary period) • Two annual personal days (granted after successful completion of probationary period) • Sick leave accrual -- 4.615 hours bi-weekly (total 15 days per year), unlimited accrual • Health Insurance benefits which begin the first of the month following 30 days of employment -- a full listing of benefits can be viewed at https://hr.clermontcountyohio.gov • Life Insurance - $25,000 paid 100% by the County • Membership in the Ohio Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS)
