Description

A well-established financial institution is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Compliance Analyst to support regulatory reporting and transaction-monitoring activities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance with federal reporting requirements by reviewing cash transactions, analyzing customer activity, and preparing regulatory filings. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, and comfortable working with large volumes of transactional data while collaborating across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and submit Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  • Review transaction-monitoring alerts and daily cash activity reports to identify reportable transactions.

  • Analyze customer transaction activity to identify, aggregate, and validate multiple cash transactions conducted across accounts or locations.

  • Investigate discrepancies and ensure all required customer information is complete and accurate prior to filing.

  • Partner with internal staff to obtain missing documentation and resolve reporting exceptions.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Perform data validation and quality reviews to ensure reporting accuracy and timeliness.

  • Assist with compliance-related research, reporting, and special projects as needed.

  • Support ongoing efforts to strengthen internal controls and regulatory compliance processes

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred.

  • Previous experience in banking, financial services, compliance, risk management, operations, or a related environment.

  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to identify patterns and trends in transaction activity.

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business applications.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a regulated environment.
