Job Description
Create and maintain multitenant, development, QA, and production databases in both on-premises and AWS cloud environments. Install new versions of Oracle RDBMS and configure databases to support application development and operations. Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of database changes, including migrations of programs, reference data, and schema updates. Collaborate with application development teams to troubleshoot database-related issues and restore application functionality. Conduct periodic database reorganizations and refreshes to ensure maximum uptime and performance efficiency. Automate the end-to-end process for quarterly Oracle PSU patching.
Evaluate, installed, and tested Oracle releases and security patches (PSU/CPU) in alignment with federal and organizational standards. Enforce comprehensive user security policies and regulations to ensure compliance with federal government standards. Design and implement robust backup and recovery strategies, including the restoration of CDBs and PDBs using snapshot backups. Monitor database server size and projected future space usage requirements.
Skills and Education requirement:
At least three years of experience in Oracle RAC, ASM, SQL Cluster setup, AWR, ADDM, ASH, TKPROF, Explain Plan, Oracle OEM, Sun Solaris, IBM AIX, Oracle Linux, HP-UX, Oracle DBA 9i, 10g, 11gR1 and R2, Oracle 12 C.
EMPLOYER WILL ACCEPT A BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN CS, CIS , Any Engineering OR RELATED (OR FOREIGN Equivalent DEGREE) WITH FIVE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.
TRAVEL AND RELOCATION POSSIBLE TO UNANTICIPATED CLIENT LOCATIONS WHICH WILL BE ANYWHERE IN THE US BASED ON PROJECT ASSIGNMENTS AND CLIENT REQUIREMENTS. IT MAY OCCUR MULTIPLE TIMES PER YEAR, WITH EACH ASSIGNMENT POTENTIALLY LASTING UP TO 6 MONTHS OR MORE ANYWHERE WITHIN THE UNITED STATES.
