Job Description

Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where precision and ownership matter?

As an Executive Director in Trading Services for our Cash Settlement Team, you will lead and strengthen a resilient cash and control environment for a high-impact broker dealer platform, supporting both Institutional and Retail clients within Prime Financial Services Operations. This role sits at the center of complex cash and securities processing across domestic and international markets, encompassing cash settlements, cash movements, and daily control execution.

You will partner with global stakeholders to monitor, analyze, and resolve complex processing issues, develop the product, and reduce operational risk — delivering stronger client outcomes and a great client experience. You will also lead modernization initiatives impacting payments and operational workflows, improving efficiency, transparency, and control effectiveness.

Job responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of broker-dealer related cash activity by monitoring activity, investigating exceptions, and driving resolution within an established control framework

  • Partner with global stakeholders to develop, enhance, and sustain an operational control framework aligned to risk management expectations

  • Collaborate with technology partners to provide operational input into system integration, workflow design, and control enhancements

  • Engage daily with internal stakeholders, counterparties, agent banks, and custodian banks to resolve complex lifecycle issues

  • Identify trade and settlement discrepancies, assess root causes, and implement actions to reduce recurrence and operational risk

  • Oversee key performance and risk indicators, defining thresholds and targets to drive continued performance improvement

  • Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, improve throughput, and strengthen controls and documentation

  • Prepare management reporting and presentations, including risk themes, exception trends, and progress against key deliverables

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • 10+ years of experience plus in financial services operations, program management, and/or client service disciplines

  • Experience supporting market-wide payments change initiatives, such as ISO 20022 migration for SWIFT messaging (or similar modernization efforts)

  • Experience supporting trade settlements and trade lifecycle processing, including issue investigation and exception management

  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for AI and automation integration within operational workflows, including experience evaluating, implementing, or governing AI-driven solutions to achieve scalable process improvements and strategic objectives

  • Experience leading teams through the adoption and utilization of AI-enabled analytics, workflow automation, or intelligent process tools to improve operational efficiency and accuracy, reduce manual effort, and support consistent, well-controlled execution through coaching, change adoption, and continuous improvement.

  • Knowledge of cash processing and market settlement practices

  • Experience operating within a control framework, including risk identification, escalation, and remediation tracking

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience partnering with technology teams on process or platform changes affecting operations

  • Experience producing management reporting and presenting operational updates to senior stakeholders

  • FINRA Series 99 Operations Professional certification (active/current) or ability to obtain the Series 99 certification within the first 120 days of employment

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Experience supporting prime brokerage and/or hedge fund client servicing models

  • Experience working in payments and cash processing

  • Experience working across domestic and international market settlement considerations

  • Experience defining or improving operating procedures, controls, and governance routines

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects that drive measurable process efficiency and/or risk reduction
