Full job description

About Wander Wander is revolutionizing the $100 B+ short‑term rental industry. We curate every aspect of the guest experience—from our smart homes to our intuitive booking platform. Our mission is to help people find their happy place, and our vision is to create the infrastructure for people to experience the world. Backed by top‑tier investors and led by experienced startup veterans, we're a tight‑knit, remote‑first team united by our passion for travel, technology, and creating unforgettable experiences.

About the role We're hiring an SMB Business Development Representative to help small and mid-sized vacation rental property managers discover WanderOS. You'll be the first conversation many operators have with us. You'll prospect into SMB property management companies, open conversations by phone, email, and LinkedIn, qualify their needs, and book strong first meetings for our Account Executives. You'll learn the vacation rental technology ecosystem quickly and help operators see how WanderOS can grow their direct bookings without replacing the PMS they already use. This is a high-activity, high-ownership role on a growing sales team, and a great path into an Account Executive seat for someone who wants to grow fast. Location: Austin, TX (onsite). What you'll do

  • Prospect into small and mid-sized vacation rental property management companies through calls, email, LinkedIn, and other channels.
  • Run high-volume outbound sequences and follow up on inbound leads quickly.
  • Lead short discovery conversations to understand each operator's business, current systems, and direct-booking goals.
  • Qualify prospects and book well-prepared meetings for Account Executives.
  • Keep accurate activity, lead, and pipeline records in our CRM.
  • Test and refine messaging, and share what you hear from the market with sales, marketing, and product.
  • Hit and exceed weekly and monthly targets for meetings booked and qualified pipeline.

What you bring

  • 1+ years in a BDR, SDR, or other quota-carrying sales role, ideally selling software to small businesses.
  • Comfort with high-volume cold calling and outbound prospecting.
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication.
  • Curiosity about how operators run their businesses, and the ability to ask good questions.
  • Resilience, coachability, and a strong work ethic.
  • Organization and follow-through: you keep your pipeline clean and never drop a lead.
  • Experience with a CRM and sales engagement tools.

Nice to have

  • Experience in vacation rentals, hospitality, travel, or property management.
  • Familiarity with PMS platforms or vacation rental software.
  • Comfort using AI tools to research accounts and personalize outreach.

What success looks like

  • Consistently hitting meeting and pipeline targets.
  • Booking meetings that turn into real opportunities for our Account Executives.
  • Becoming a trusted voice of the market for the team.
  • Growing into an Account Executive role.

Why Wander Help vacation rental operators grow their direct-booking businesses. You'll join a growing Austin sales team, learn from experienced sellers, and have a clear path to grow your career. Wander is an equal opportunity employer. We're committed to building a team with a range of backgrounds and perspectives, and we do not discriminate on the basis of any protected characteristic.
