Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $19.00–$20.00 per hour

Shift: First- MF- 6 am- 2pm, potential overtime and weekends

What’s a typical day?

  • Learning to operate greenhouse environmental control systems, program irrigation, and evaluate alarms.

  • Prefilling pots/trays for propagation using automated equipment and supporting greenhouse maintenance and organization.

  • Assisting with research setup and takedown, preparing soil mixes, installing irrigation, and collaborating on data collection.

  • Performing routine checks and troubleshooting on greenhouse chambers, equipment, and lighting.

  • Driving work trucks between sites to transport plant material and supplies.

  • Attending group and project meetings, and communicating updates or issues promptly.

  • Following good sanitation practices, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent (required).

  • Possess 1–3 years of relevant experience (entry level).

  • Are interested in greenhouse operations, plant propagation, and irrigation.

  • Demonstrate strong organizational, observational, and communication skills.

  • Are willing to receive Ag Worker Training and Pesticide Handler Training.

  • Can work effectively both independently (especially on weekends and holidays) and as part of a team.

  • Are comfortable working in greenhouse, outdoor field, and laboratory settings, sometimes in physically demanding conditions.

  • Have basic math skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Prioritize tasks efficiently and pay high attention to detail.
