About the Role & Program

Sustainability Strategy for Parks Product Development & Retail: This intern will develop and deploy key processes, systems, and tools to enable more accurate and efficient measurement of our Scope 3 GHG emissions and sustainability goals. They will also support the essential processes, systems, and tools that equip The Walt Disney Company to unlock its next wave of short- and long-term product growth while delivering against our sustainability goals.

This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in Orlando, Florida, from January 2027 through June 2027.

What You Will Do

  • Refine existing product classifications (product archetypes) used for calculating our annual Scope 3 emissions inventory. This may include recommending new archetypes that will enable a more accurate Scope 3 inventory.

  • Develop a preliminary Scope 3 inventory of secondary packaging associated with vertically developed global products.

  • Provide technical guidance on emissions factor development associated with new product archetypes and secondary packaging.

  • Foster use of data and external information to estimate Scope 3 impact for our product archetypes and secondary packaging.

  • Provide line-of-sight to the Manager on daily business issues.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners and the corporate sustainability team to unlock areas of intersection/interdependency (“connect the dots”) related to sustainability and Scope 3 emissions.

  • Contribute to a culture that fosters teamwork, creativity, and innovation while driving accountability for results.

  • An ability to simplify complex problems, synthesize data, and create compelling narratives to inform decision-making.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with individuals and teams (both small and large, technical and non-technical)

  • Excellent organizational skills.

It Would Also Be Great If You Are

Actively pursuing an advanced degree in a related field of study with an emphasis on GHG emissions.

  • Junior or Senior preferred.

  • Pursuing a degree in a related field of study with an emphasis on GHG emissions.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all the requirements below

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, pursuing a degree, taking at least one class at the time of application, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.

  • Have not completed one year of continuous employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program.

  • Be at least 18 years of age.

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization.

Additional Information

  • The approximate dates of this internship are January 2027 through June 2027.

  • Fully available Monday – Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week.

  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, Florida area.

  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.
