Overview

The Commercial Planning Effectiveness Specialist supports the Corporate Commercial Planning Team and Commercial Organization through project and content coordination, annual planning calendar management, communications, and follow-through. The position requires expertise in Commercial Planning applications and associated business processes. The role keeps fiscal-start cycles and assigned initiatives organized and visible, maintains workplans and shared content libraries, tracks issues with Commercial Planning tools, and coordinates approved communications. This individual identifies opportunities to improve the end-user experience through technology and process improvements and supports current and future corporate Commercial Planning projects.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain a central issue log for Commercial Planning tools, documenting affected users, business impact, accountable owners, next steps, target dates, escalations, and resolution status. Identify duplicate reports, track issues through the established support process, and confirm resolution before closing items

  • Communicate clearly and regularly with end users until issues are resolved

  • Own the communications calendar and maintain distribution lists. Draft, format, proofread, and route mass communications for approval

  • Improve repeatable coordination processes through practical templates, checklists, and handoff standards. Recommend ways to reduce missed steps and manual follow-up, partnering with the team on implementation

  • Organize shared content and reference libraries, maintain reusable templates and naming conventions, and control versions so stakeholders can readily find current approved materials

  • Coordinate content development with accountable authors and SMEs; track review, approval, and publication schedules, follow up on inputs, and publish approved materials

  • Support end-user education and training to increase proficiency and adoption of implemented solutions

  • Assist with change management efforts to drive adoption of new tools, processes, and governance

  • Maintain an integrated Commercial Planning calendar and repeatable checklists across fiscal-start cohorts

  • Coordinate project meetings, readiness checks, and stakeholder handoffs; follow up on outstanding actions and deliverables. Identify conflicting timelines, missing inputs, and delivery risks, and escalate blockers or scope and priority decisions to Commercial Planning leadership

  • Maintain project and action trackers and prepare concise status updates showing milestone progress, overdue deliverables, dependencies, risks, and decisions needed. Record approved decisions; analytical deliverables remain with the assigned Analyst or other accountable owner

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Additional Primary Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
